Schlossmediale Werdenberg
“Big and small” will be the focus of the 9th Schlossmediale from May 21-30, 2021 in Werdenberg Castle, a medieval castle in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, not far from the border with Austria and Liechtenstein. Every year at Whitsun, the international festival for early music, new music and audiovisual arts turns the castle into a location for concerts, performances, sound installations and an exhibition. The composer in residence will be the Spaniard Elena Mendoza, the guests include the baroque ensemble The Baltimore Consort, the Naghash Ensemble from Armenia, the harp duo Sileas, the Norwegian Hardanger fiddler Nils Økland and the singer and actress Delia Mayer.
